Awareness Campaign on Obesity, its Risks and Diabetes

Under the generous patronage of her excellency Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abd Elhamid Abdo, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and supervision of Prof. Dr. Lotfy Diab, Dean of the faculty of pharmacy, Arish Campus, within the framework of comprehensive health awareness among university students, faculty members and administrators, the Public Health Committee of the PhAi family launched an awareness campaign on obesity, the damages they cause and the problems they cause, diabetes and its types at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Sinai University, Arish Branch on Saturday 7/12/2024 and Sunday 8/12/2024.

Brochures and booklets were printed and devices for excess weight, fat percentage, blood sugar percentage, etc were used for providing suitable diet and medical advice.

The awareness campaign targeted students, faculty members and administrators them about the dangers of obesity and diabetes their impact on public health.

Members of campaign provided suitable information about proper nutrition and the importance of physical activity and encouraging the necessary tests for early detection of diabetes.

Interactive tours were organized between individuals, which addressed the causes of obesity and ways to prevent it, in addition to information about diabetes and the importance of controlling its levels. Videos and educational materials were shown explaining how to prevent obesity and diabetes. Individual consultations were given to attendees on nutrition and exercise.
