“Medical Research Ethics and Participant Protection” Workshop

Following an invitation from Suez Canal University, and under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, branch of Sinai University in Kantara participated in the workshop “Medical Research Ethics and Participant Protection” held on Monday, 12 May 2025 at Suez Canal University.

The event was attended by senior members of the Supreme Council for Clinical Medical Research Ethics, led by Prof. Dr. Tamer Hefnawy (General Secretary), Prof. Dr. Azza Saleh, and Prof. Dr. Wafaa Abdel-Aal.

The workshop featured three keynote lectures:

  1. Regulatory Aspects of Clinical Research and the Council’s Role – Prof. Dr. Tamer Hefnawy
  2. Why Do We Need Ethics in Clinical Research? – Prof. Dr. Azza Saleh
  3. Establishing Research Ethics Committees and Review Mechanisms – Prof. Dr. Wafaa Abdel-Aal
